Grilled Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño & Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

Print Friendly and PDF
Here is a naughty decadent appetizer recipe I'm making for my upcoming camping trip.  It's savory, juicy, a little spicy, creamy and wrapped in a little package of BACON!!!!!!  Yes friends, you have to try this one…

INGREDIENTS:
½ cup bread crumbs
8 large button mushrooms
4 strips bacon, cut in half
1 large jalapeno, minced
½ package of cream cheese
½ cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
Salt and pepper
Bamboo Skewers (soaked in water)

PREPARATION:
Fire up your grill to get it nice and hot.  Wash the mushrooms and remove the stems.  In a bowl combine all of the ingredients and mix well.  Spoon the cheesy, pepper mixture into the holes in the mushrooms.  Wrap each mushroom in a slice of bacon and secure them onto a long bamboo skewer.  Prepare to do some in-direct grilling, where there is bacon, there are flare ups.  Grill for about 10 -15 minutes total, or when the bacon is nice and done.  The bacon will hold the cheesy love in place.  Serve them hot and watch them disappear.
