I have been doing great losing weight steadily doing a high fat, low carb lifestyle. As a lover of good BBQ, I have been trying a few recipes for a great low carb sugar free bbq sauce and I think I got it right. This is smokey, tangy, sweet, spicy and savory! Guilt free bbq sauce... oh yea.
INGREDIENTS:

strips of thick bacon, minced
1
small onion, minced
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
3
cloves garlic, minced
2
small cans tomato paste
1
cup beef broth
3 cups sugar-free catsup
3
tablespoons Dijon mustard
1
tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2
cups of Diet Cran Cherry juice
1
pinch ground cloves
1
teaspoon of Salt
1
teaspoon of Cayenne pepper
1
teaspoon of smoked sweet paprika
½
cup vinegar
1
cup Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey
2 tablespoons liquid Stevia
Hot
sauce to taste
PREPARATION:
Fry the
bacon in a saucepan, when it is almost crispy add the onion and garlic and cook
over medium until soft - 3-5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir
well. Simmer on low for 40 mins. It will cook down a bit and flavors will
combine. It’s great on Ribs, Chicken and anything!!!!
