BBQ Bananas Foster Love Pouches

Here is the fast fun dessert I made for the Tuesday spontaneous Pacifica Thai Beef BBQ Lettuce Wrap dinner on the beach night....

INGREDIENTS:
3 ripe Bananas
½ cup of rum
½ cube of butter
1 cup brown sugar
Heavy duty foil

Pint of vanilla Häagen-Dazs ice cream

PREPARATION:
Make 1 ft. x 1ft. size square sheets of foil double thick
Make them into little bowls so you can close seal them on top to place on the grill
Peel and slice bananas in half lengthwise and then cut in the middle.  Line them up inside the foil pouch so they are close together.  I made them as one or two Banana servings per person per pouch.

In a small saucepan add the butter, sugar and rum.  Stir until bubbling over medium high heat.  Pour mixture over bananas into each pouch and then seal them closed tightly on the tops, you want to make sure there are no leaks, heavy duty foil works best.

Place them each on the hot grill and let them cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.  I took these hot off the grill and packed into a large paper bag.  They were still like gooey and warm after dinner.  Seve with vanilla ice cream right in the pouch.  You will need a spoon for these.  Sooooo good.
