Domain Chandon Crack Cheese

I live an hour from the Napa Valley Wine Region. One of my favorite Sunday drives is to do Sparking wine tasting; Gloria Ferrier is beautiful but my favorite little spot is at Domain Chandon in Yountville, CA. Domain Chandon serves this amazing cheese spread with crackers and breads…I got the recipe and put my bad girl touches to it.

If you need to bring an appetizer to a party and are not sure what to bring, try this one. I brought it last weekend and it was officially dubbed addictive as “D.C. Crack Cheese”…

INGREDIENTS:
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
2 ounces (1/2 cup) crumbled blue cheese, room temperature
4 tablespoon toasted glazed walnuts, coarsely chopped*
2 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Sourdough or French bread

SWANKY CRACK CHEESE MUSIC SELECTION: Bossa Nova Ville (Ultra Lounge) - One Note Samba

PREPERATION:
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together cream cheese, blue cheese, chives, and parsley.
*
*In a small saute pan over medium heat, toss your walnuts in 1 teaspoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of sugar, with a pinch of salt and pepper until toasted and lightly browned. Set aside to cool.
*
Add to the bowl and mix, don't over mix. Serve with toasted thin-sliced sourdough or French bread.
